The new Cirque de la Symphonie program features music from movie classics such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Batman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Mission Impossible and it wouldnt be a symphony without music from Titanic. Having studied under Grammy Award-winning maestro Michael Tilson Thomas, Yaniv Segal conducts the orchestra during this one-day event with aerialists, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers, balancers and strongmen adding visual spectacle. 2 & 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 | Bob Carr Theater, 401 W. The Magic waived Adreian Payne on Friday, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Orlando Magic waived two-way player Adreian Payne, league sources tell ESPN. He was playing with G-League Lakeland Magic. Payne, a former first-round pick, has surfaced in the Michigan State scandal. Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) January 27, 2018An official announcement regarding Payne had not yet been made by the Magic as of early Saturday morning. The seldom-used power forward, who the Magic signed to a two-way contract in August, was playing primarily for the Lakeland Magic, the organizations G League affiliate. The 26-year-old appeared in just five games for the Magic this season, averaging 4.2 points. The transaction came shortly after ESPN reported that Paynes alma mater, Michigan State University, mishandled sexual assault cases. According to the story, in 2010, Payne and then-teammate Keith Appling (who actually played five games for the Magic in 2016) were accused of sexually assaulting a female student. No charges were filed and neither player was disciplined by the university, leading to campus protests. According to a police report, Payne told officers that he could understand how she would feel that she was not free to leave. Payne was concerned about her reaction to the circumstances and had even asked Appling to apologize to her, the report stated. Payne told officers that he had apologized to Schaner because it seemed she felt that they disrespected her. ESPN does not typically identify people who report acts of sexual violence, but Schaner sought to publicly reveal her identity. Payne was drafted 15th overall by the Atlanta in the 2014 NBA Draft before being traded in the middle of his rookie season to Minnesota, where he played for three seasons. In 107 career games, Payne averaged 4.0 points and 2.9 rebounds. https://www.orlandopinstripedpost.com/2018/1/27/16939494/report-magic-waive-adreian-payne This was a excellent piece of content we located online.

I first worked with Bella when my business was still relatively new. The first project was designing her blog, Bella of Louisville. Since then we have worked on various projects website for her (and her hubbys) restaurant, fun wedding website for their big day, and other random projects here and there. With each project we have worked on I always notice how we both have evolved whether its my design style or her writing style, we are both always changing. Its amazing that because of this virtual world, Ive been able to connect with Bella. We worked together for a few years before we even talked on the phone! When we finally chatted it was so exciting to put a voice to her emails. I love creating a connection with all my clients, especially when those connections happen slowly with time because it feels authentic. I think that we all try to rush connecting with others because we are on some imaginary deadline or just need to connect for the sake of expanding our reach which then feels extremely forced and often fake. Yes networking and connecting with others is important, especially for small businesses, but I think we sometimes forget the purpose of it. We try to rush it and if from the first few seconds it doesnt feel like it will have any benefit we walk away. To me that defeats the purpose and maybe its because I am an introvert. When I first meet someone (in person or even during a call) I can be a bit reserved and very awkward its a part of my personality. If we go by just the first few seconds of meeting someone, then I wouldnt be able to connect with anyone because I am likely to say something awkward. But when we take the time to actually connect and learn from each other amazing things happen. With clients like Bella, Ive had the opportunity to connect and learn. Shes trusted me with various design projects that were a bit out of my scope at the moment (ex, designing a site for a restaurant). Same goes for many other connections Ive made throughout the years of owning a business when you make real connections you also build trust which can lead to some amazing things. So all that to say connect with people! Build those relationships (business or personal) with others. And also look at the blog redesign that I worked on for Bella a few months ago. Make sure to visit Bellas blog, Bella of Louisville to see her latest post that are always filled with so much positivity and kindness. :) To see more of my latest projects make sure to visit my portfolio. xo, Melissa http://www.blushandjelly.com/blog/2017/06/web-projects-bella-louisville.html I agree with most of what this blogger mentioned however, not all.
1/2/2015 4 Comments Berghoff Beer Hall will be coming to the new Artegon Marketplace (formerly Festival Bay) this spring. The new restaurant will feature a 20,000 square foot German beer hall as well as a 5,000 square foot outdoor beer garden. The originalBerghoffRestaurant is located in Chicago and has been around since 1898. Berghoff Brewing has been around for 127 years and hasgone through a number of changes in the past several years. According to a recent article in the Milwaukee Wisconsin Journal Sentinel, craft beer gurus John Hannafan and Randy Mosher are involved with Berghoff and are spearheading its efforts to expand. Mosher has written a number of books about beer. His Tasting Beeris practically a required read forbeer enthusiasts studying for their cicerone certification. Hannafan is the director of education at the Siebel Institute of Technology and World Brewing Academy and plays an instrumental role in crafting the recipes for the beers. There are a couple of really nice signs outside the place but it doesn't appear that the buildout has begun yet on the new restaurant and beer hall. We will keep you posted as soon aswe find out more. http://www.orlandobeerguide.com/blog/berghoff-beer-hall-coming-this-spring-to-artegon-marketplace This is perhaps the ideal website we discovered throughout the day.

If you know me at all, you know I love Mexican food and everything that comes with it. I appreciate it all, from the chips and guac, fajitas, quesadillas, the healthy taco salad in the delicious hard shell, and of course, tacos. I love them so much so that my husband and I got each other thesefor Valentines Day. Because nothing says I love you like pizza and taco themed shoes right? While Id like to think our love for each other is stronger than anything, our love for delicious food is pretty close behind. So on this Tuesday evening, I dedicate this post to the top 3 places in Orlando that wego to for tacosand then some. Youre welcome. 1. Pig Floyds Urban Barbakoa This place is dangerously close to our apartmenthowever the upside is that we can bike there to off set some of the calories that we consume. At first glance its easy to think that this place is just a barbecue joint, but I promise you its so much more. In fact, in the half dozen times that Ive eaten there, Ive ONLY gotten the tacosbecause they are that good. Photo cred courtesy of a Yelper because I was always too hungry to wait and take a picture. Wardlandos Pick: The Chicken Al Pastor Taco and the Shrimp and Sausage Taco. Dont forget to add a side of Yuca fries and local craft beer! Click here to drool. 2. Black Rooster Taqueria This place is ALSO dangerously close to our apartment and directly across the street from Pig Floyds. So yes, that means you can go to both places and have a taste test competition. The Black Rooster Taqueriacaught my eye on Instagram as they tracked the progress of their construction prior to opening. Needless to say as soon as I saw they were open a few months ago, we made a visit. The place itself is pretty small, but the ambiance and vibe is really laid back and mellow, with some cool personal touches added in. Similar to Pig Floyds you order your food at the counter and then find a seat (if they arent all taken) to wait for your food. The view from the counter where you order your food. Yes, this post is about the tacos but this guac was my favorite part of the meal. Wardlandos Pick: Get the fresh guac, habanero salsaand any one of the 5 tacos on their menu. 3. Cocina 214 My husband and I stumbled upon Cocina 214 after an afternoon of wandering down Park Ave. in Winter Park. This place is hidden back a little bit on a side street so you might miss it if you dont know its there. They have a great outdoor patio space that is perfect to dine in pretty much year round. Again, I know this post is about tacos, and while the tacos are goodthis place serves the BEST margarita I have ever had, in my life. (And Ive had quite a few). I dont know how they make this margarita, but its has the perfect balance of tart/sour, smooth frozen texture, and they are strong enough that youll feel fantastic after just one. It doesnt get much better than sitting on this patio drinking a 214 Margarita. Wardlandos pick: The bowl of queso, the brisket tacos, and the 214 margarita. Until next time, adios amigos! http://wardlando.com/2016/03/09/tasty-tuesday-taco-edition/ This was a great post we found online.
One wedding, four friends and a phone call is what it took to bring together the Members of Electric Shrine. In early 2016, Chris Angleberger (formerly of Tranquilizer) on guitars, his wife Bhren vocals, and Josh Henry (formerly of Familiar Sin and Confused Little Girl) on drums, were writing and putting together what would become the foundation for the band. Josh called upon his friend Stone, a former bass player in Familiar Sin, to come to the rehearsal room and see how things would fit. After a few months of woodshedding and finding their groove, Electric Shrine was ready to get in front of a crowd and bring rock and roll back to Central Florida. They emphatically state that Electric Shrine is NOT a metal Band, NOT a hard rock band, just a good old fashioned ROCK AND ROLL band poised and ready to take every stage by storm. The bands primary mission is to give their listeners a good time. If you are a fan of loud guitars, driving bass, pounding drums and UN-compromising vocals, you will become a fan of Electric Shrine. Aside from the Sanford Music Festival, the band has not booked many show dates for the year yet. They are focused on entering the studio early in 2017, and addlive shows later in the year. Jameer Nelson, Vince Carter, Matt Barnes, Rashard Lewis, and Dwight Howard were Orlandos starters the last time the organization won a game in Boston. The year was 2010. The Magic had dropped 14 straight in Boston at the TD Garden. But that all ended Sunday afternoon, thanks mostly to Orlandos 62 points in the paint. Boston is the NBAs top rated defense, but that didnt stop the Magic from scoring 90 points through the games first three quarters. Orlando was able to hold on despite a cold fourth quarter, and snapped a six game losing streak against the Celtics with a 103-95 win. The Magic were led by Elfrid Payton, who lived in the paint all day. Payton had 22 points and 6 rebounds. Evan Fournier added 19 points in the contest. Orlando was able to overcome a masterful performance by Kyrie Irving, who missed Bostons last game Thursday night. Irving had 40 points (14-23 FG) to lead all scorers. Orlando played Boston nearly even in the first half, thanks mostly to the efforts of their bench unit. Irving was unstoppable in the first half, the Magic had no answers trying to defend the All-Star guard. Irving had 24 points at the half, including 15 points in the first quarter. The Magic shot the ball well against the Celtics early, especially their bench. Orlandos second unit went 9-14 from the field in the first half, led by D.J. Augustin (10 points) and Shelvin Mack (4 points, 3 assists). After leading by as much as eight points, the Magic gave up a mini-run to the Celtics and found themselves trailing Boston 59-58 at the half. Orlando came out on an incredible 25-8 run to open up the third quarter. The Celtics began the quarter 1-11 from the field, while the Magic connected on 8 of their first 11 attempts. Boston committed 7 turnovers in the quarter. A Mario Hezonja three pushed Orlandos lead to 19 to close out the third quarter. Payton and Fournier combined for 15 points in the third quarter alone. Boston finally turned up their defense in the fourth quarter, holding the Magic to 1-15 shooting to open the final period. Elfrid Paytons jumper stopped the bleeding and pushed Orlandos lead back to double-digits with just under four minutes to play. Khem Birch had two huge offensive rebounds and putbacks late in the game that helped seal Orlandos victory. Boston didnt get much help from their bench. Orlandos second unit outscored Bostons 38-8. Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier were non-factors for the Celtics. The guards combined to go 2-12 from the field (0-6 from 3PT) with 5 turnovers. Boston rookie Jayson Tatum, who entered today as the leagues leading 3-point shooter, was held to 9 points (4-11) and 10 rebounds. Boston has now lost three games in a row, all at home. This is Bostons longest losing streak of the season. The Magic now head back home for a Tuesday night tilt against the Sacramento Kings. https://www.orlandopinstripedpost.com/2018/1/21/16916692/magic-103-celtics-95-points-in-the-paint-help-magic-get-a-rare-win-in-boston |
